FAQ
Do you have questions about facials, microneedling, lash extensions or other skincare treatments?
Find answers here for services offered in Colwood at Alora Skin & Lash, serving Langford and Westshore clients.
1. Where are you located?
I'm located inside Aura Collective in Colwood, BC. A calm, and welcoming space for relaxation and results
2. How do I book an appointment?
You can book directly online using the "Book Now" button. If you're unsure where to start, I recommend booking a consultation so we can create the perfect plan for your skin. You can also email or text and I can book your appointment for you.
3. Why do I need a consultation for Microneedling and peels?
Advanced treatments like microneedling and chemical peels require a customized approach to ensure each person is a good candidate and for the best results. Your consultation allows me to properly assess your skin, review your history and design a treatment plan that works for you.
4. Does Microneedling hurt?
Most clients find microneedling very tolerable. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to keep you comfortable throughout the treatment.
5. What is the downtime after microneedling?
You can expect redness (similar to a mild sunburn) for 24-72 hours. Your skin may feel slightly dry or tight as it heals, eventually leading to a smoother, more radiant appearance over time.
5. Will my skin peel like a snake after a chemical peel?
No, Linder Health Peels are designed as a "no-peel or low-downtime peel, meaning they typically do not cause the heavy peeling or flaking associated with traditional chemical peels, and are considered highly effective.
6. How often do I need to have my lash extensions filled?
To keep your lashes looking full and fresh, fills are recommended every 2-3 weeks.
